Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the CertProof platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms, and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
CertProof is a digital certificate issuance and verification platform. It allows registered organizations to:
- Create certificate templates and issue digital certificates to recipients
- Generate unique verifiable certificate IDs and QR codes
- Send certificate emails to recipients
- Manage, revoke, or expire certificates
- Allow anyone to publicly verify the authenticity of a certificate
Public certificate verification is free for all users — no account required.
3. Account Registration
To issue certificates, you must register an organization account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to approve or reject organization registrations at our discretion. Accounts that appear fraudulent or violate these Terms may be suspended without notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CertProof only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Issue certificates for qualifications, courses, or achievements that did not actually occur
- Impersonate another organization, institution, or individual
- Issue certificates that are misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory
- Use the platform to send unsolicited communications (spam)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the platform
- Scrape certificate data or verification pages in bulk without permission
- Use the API in ways that abuse rate limits or degrade service for other users
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
5. Certificate Data and Accuracy
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the certificate data you enter. CertProof stores and displays the data you provide. We do not verify that courses were completed, that qualifications were earned, or that recipients are who you say they are.
Issuing fraudulent certificates is a violation of these Terms and may constitute fraud under applicable law. We reserve the right to remove any certificate that is reported as fraudulent and cooperate with legal authorities.
By issuing a certificate on CertProof, you acknowledge that the certificate will be publicly accessible at its verification URL and may be indexed by search engines.
6. Plans, Payments, and Billing
CertProof offers a free Forever Free plan and paid Professional and Enterprise plans.
Paid plans: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly basis in Indian Rupees (INR). Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription period.
No refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Plan limits: Each plan has a certificate issuance limit per month. Exceeding the limit will prevent new certificate issuance until the next billing cycle or an upgrade.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
7. Intellectual Property
CertProof and all related logos, designs, and software are the property of Nxtwise IT Private Limited. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our written permission.
You retain ownership of the certificate templates and designs you create. By uploading content to CertProof, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content as necessary to operate the platform.
8. Privacy
Your use of CertProof is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
CertProof is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data due to technical failures.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nxtwise IT Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CertProof — including loss of revenue, loss of data, or reputational harm.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Public certificate verification pages for previously issued certificates may remain accessible.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting us at support@certproof.in.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. For significant changes, we will notify registered organization administrators by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of CertProof after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
